On Easter Sunday, U.S. Vice President JD Vance met briefly with Pope Francis at the Vatican, exchanging Easter greetings. The meeting took place at the Domus Santa Marta, where the pope is currently residing as he continues to recover from double pneumonia.

Due to his health, Pope Francis had delegated the Easter Mass to Cardinal Angelo Comastri, but he made a brief appearance in St. Peter’s Square to offer blessings to the faithful. These talks focused on shared religious values, the plight of persecuted Christians, and global conflicts.

The Vatican emphasized its commitment to religious freedom and expressed concern over issues like migration, refugees, and the treatment of prisoners.
