Drug Seizure: K8.5 billion worth Ketamine seized in Shan State

A combined team of Anti-Narcotic Task Force on 13th April conducted a search on two Toyota Alphard vehicles driven by Thet Naing and Kyaw Arkar Thein on Loilen-Taunggyi Road, resulting the confiscation of 8.5 billion kyat worth of Ketamine, weighing 1,000 kg.

Further investigation led to seizure of two suspects along with Toyota Prado Vehicle near Kengpong Village in Kengtung Township on 14th April. According to the suspects, Ketamine are being transported to Yangon from Kunhing Township. Lawsuits have been opened against the suspects under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
