Following the devastating earthquake in Central Myanmar, restoration and rehabilitation tasks are being carried out at the quake-affected areas in cooperation with local and international organizations.

On April 18th, the water purifier machine was installed at Kyoe Pin Tha Village, Pauk Myine Village-tract of Lewe Township. This installation was carried out under the arrangement of Samaritan's Purse International Relief in order to ensure sufficient water supply in the village.

Officials from the Samaritan's Purse International Relief also met with the locals and explained the purpose of donation along with the user guide for water purifier. Household supplies were also provided for 116 households from Kyo Pin Tha and Yae Lae Pauk villages.

The Nay Pyi Taw Council Member and officials then proceeded to the Tabaung Ground to oversee the provision of medical treatment to quake-affected victims by medical team from Sri Lanka and gave words of encouragement.

It is reported that the medical team from Sri Lanka has provided treatment to 119 patients in collaboration with the health care staff from Public Health Department in Pyinmana and the Rapid Response Team from Magway.
