Ministry-Level NDMC Meeting: MOHT Union Minister attended the meeting

The Ministry for Hotels and Tourism held a meeting of the Ministry-Level National Disaster Management Committee at its Office, which was attended by Union Minister U Kyaw Soe Win.

During the meeting, the Union Minister stated that the Committee is issuing designations for earthquake-affected buildings. According to those designations, the ministry is responsible for inspecting the buildings and dormitories that fall under the category of "minor damage," and to promptly carry out the necessary repairs. It is also essential to ensure proper water and electricity supply for comfortable living. He instructed that the departments responsible for implementing these tasks must maintain records and carry out the work systematically, as per the directives.

Following the meeting, the Union Minister inspected the land and preparations for constructing temporary shelters near the Ministry's training school and office compound. These shelters are intended to house earthquake-affected staff and their families on a temporary basis. The Minister also provided necessary instructions to officials regarding the requirements for building these temporary accommodations.
