







Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun, Deputy Minister U Aye Kyaw and officials visited Nay Pyi Taw Central Training School, on April 16, to accept donated tents, donated by China Southern Power Grid (CSG) at the Nay Pyi Taw Central Training School in Ottarathiri Township, expressing gratitude for the donation. These tents will provide temporary shelter for ministry staff and their families affected by the earthquake.
Subsequently, the Union Minister, and party inspected the installation of temporary tents in open areas within the training school compound, the completed partitioning of rooms inside the training hall for staff and families, ongoing site preparations for modular houses, the setup of a temporary clinic, and the progress of tent construction. They instructed responsible officials to expedite construction work to ensure that earthquake-affected staff and their families have access to water, electricity, and sanitation facilities for comfortable living.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister, Deputy Minister, and officials visited the Paunglaung Hydropower Plant (1) construction compound in Zeyarthiri Township. They inspected the preparation of office buildings to temporarily accommodate affected staff and their families, directing officials to ensure proper room allocation and full access to water and electricity for comfortable living.
Later, the Union Minister and officials arrived at Nay Pyi Taw Main Power Substation (2) in Ottarathiri Township, and designated the open spaces within the staff housing area for the construction of single-story, six-room temporary barracks to provide secure shelter for earthquake-affected staff and their families for at least one year.
