Viet Nam, Laos expect bilateral trade to reach 5 billion USD

Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính met with Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone on 16th April. Both leaders reaffirmed the strong Vietnam–Laos partnership and agreed to implement high-level agreements, including outcomes from the Politburo meeting and the 47th Intergovernmental Committee session.

The leaders set a bilateral trade target of 5 billion USD, focusing on boosting trade, investment, and connectivity—particularly in infrastructure and tourism.
