These inspections were carried out after technical experts from the relevant departments assessed and confirmed the condition of the buildings, which were designated as "orange level".

The Union Minister and officials, first, visited buildings No. (821), (822), and (747) in the Padauk Housing complex located in Bawgathiri, Zabuthiri Township, where ministry staff previously resided. They also inspected building No. (35) in the Sabal Housing complex in Zeyatheiddhi Ward. Plans were discussed for initiating small-, medium-, and large-scale repairs, and the Union Minister instructed to coordinate with relevant departments to ensure that necessary arrangements are made so that staff can return to their residences once repairs are completed. Following this, a ceremony was held to provide financial assistance to the ministry staff affected by the earthquake.

During the event, staff temporarily relocated to Cluster-6 raised concerns regarding living conditions, food, drinking water, and water usage.

In response, the Union Minister, Deputy Ministers, and Director Generals distributed financial support to staff from various departments.
