Dhaka court issues warrant against Hasina and son

A Dhaka court on Tuesday issued arrest warrants against 29 people, including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her son, in two separate cases filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission over scam in allocating plots. United News of Bangladesh reported that the court also fixed April 28 for submitting a report on whether the accused have been arrested.

According to the case statement, she allegedly misused her authority as the head of government to exert undue influence over officials of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works and RAJUK to obtain the plot.
