






Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, accompanied by officials inspected preparations at the National Indoor Stadium (1) Thuwunna for the billiards training camp ahead of the 33rd SEA Games.
The Union Minister heard reports on the preparation works and fulfilled the requirements. He also called for upgrades to meet international standards and highlighted billiards as a gold medal opportunity, bringing prestige to the nation.
The Union Minister and party then proceeded to the Myanmar Taekwondo Federation training center at Thuwunna Youth Training Camp. During the visit, they inspected the training of Taekwondo athletes and offered words of encouragement. They then visited the Taekwondo Library and urged the collection of documents on Myanmar and world Taekwondo history, along with books on technical regulations.
The Union Minister also called for timely translation of key materials into Myanmar for distribution to sports centers and local clubs. The Union Minister and party later oversaw the dormitories and canteens for the athletes, as well as the Sepak Takraw training stadium.
The Union Minister and party inspected the new office of the Yangon Region Sports and Physical Education Department at Padetha Sports Ground, South Okkalapa Township and instructed proper maintenance for long-term durability.
The Union Minister then inspected the sports training halls and female athlete accommodation at the stadium. He also oversaw the Padetha stadium and instructed floor repairs and systematic scheduling of training and competitions to ensure long-term maintenance.
