Fish-Releasing Ceremony: MORAC UM participated in the ceremony

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, U Tin Oo Lwin, together with the Deputy Ministers, senior departmental officials, and rotating chairperson of the Uppadasanti Pagoda Board of Trustees, held a fish-releasing ceremony in the Paung Laung River, Nay Pyi Taw, on April 13 in advance of the Myanmar New Year.

To begin the ceremony, Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin explained the purpose and benefits of conducting the fish-releasing ceremony during the Myanmar New Year period.

Following this, the Union Minister and officials released various species of fish from the auspicious Malini Mangala Lake, located within the Uppadasanti Pagoda compound, into the Paung Laung River as a compassionate and harmless act of life-giving. The ceremony also included the reciting of Metta Sutta and the sharing of Metta to all beings.
