To facilitate reconstruction and renovation efforts at the Inlay Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and in earthquake-affected areas, the Shan State Government and engineering associations held a coordination meeting on April 13 at the meeting hall of the Shan State Government Office in Taunggyi. The meeting was attended by Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, state ministers, members of the Myanmar Engineering Council, and relevant departmental officials.

During the coordination meeting, Chief Minister U Aung Aung stated that prior to the upcoming ceremonial festival of the Inlay Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the original monastery buildings must be restored and completed in time. To achieve this, collaboration will take place with military engineers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), the Ministry of Construction, experts from the Myanmar Engineering Council, and local technical experts. He also emphasized that for the restoration of the monastery buildings, traditional Myanmar artisans must be engaged. Additionally, efforts must be made to restore the Inlay region to its original state and revive the local tourism industry to its previous vibrancy. Regarding schools damaged by the earthquake, a separate committee will be formed to urgently restore them before the school reopening period.

After that, ministers and departmental officials, along with members of engineering associations who attended the meeting, discussed the current status of ongoing projects and presented suggestions and requirements for further implementation. The Chief Minister provided guidance and ensured coordination to address the identified needs effectively.
