







Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung on April 11th visited the temporary training facility, where the tentatively selected athletes relocated to Yangon due to the earthquake.
The athletes included representatives from Basketball, Track and Field, Wushu, volleyball, Traditional Chinlone, Pancak Silat, Sepak Takraw, and Billiards. They were staying at the dormitories in the compound of Sports and Physical Education Institute (Yangon.
On April 12th, the Union Minister observed training sessions of track and field athletes, and offered encouragement. They later enjoyed a friendly football match between ISPE U-21 Football Club and Yadanabon Football Club, providing support.
Next, the Union Minister visited the Chinlone training facility, and heard reports on preparations for the upcoming 33rd SEA Games. He also encouraged the athletes during their training.
Afterward, the Union Minister and party proceeded to the Sepak Takraw training center, and observed the athletes' training. He encouraged them to maintain strong discipline, and strive to win medals for Myanmar at the upcoming SEA Games. They then visited the Karate training facility, Gymnasium, and Wushu athletes in training.
He urged the athletes to train diligently, aiming to bring home gold medals and bring honor to the nation through sports. After that, the Union Minister visited the indoor stadium at Aung San Sports Complex and observed the volleyball team undergoing their training.
