







Union Minister for Health Professor Dr Thet Khaing Win inspected the chosen sites for building temporary shelters for the staff under the ministry on Saturday.
In order to relocate the staff members who were affected by the severe earthquake, temporary shelters will be built in the compound of the Traditional Medicine Department Office, as well as the vacant lands near the facilities of the ministry.
The Union Minister and party later visited the Myanmar National Centre for Disease Control and Medical Training Centre to assess the damages caused by the powerful earthquake. He also inspected the chosen sites for construction of temporary buildings.
The Ministry of Health is also making effort to provide prosthetic legs and arms to those who got injured during the earthquake, along with the provisions of supporting items. Plans are also underway to deploy the local medical teams once the international medical teams completed their assignments. Likewise, necessary prevention measures are being carried out from occurrence of infectious diseases.
