Humanitarian and Peace Efforts: SAC Chairman talks with the Indian Gurudev

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing shared updates on the severe Mandalay earthquake damage and Myanmar’s ongoing internal peace efforts during a phone conversation with Indian humanitarian leader and peace envoy Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on 12th April. 

During the conversation, the Indian Gurudev expressed sympathy for the earthquake victims and acknowledged ongoing international aid for relief efforts. In response, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the concern, noting the continued arrival of international assistance and the ongoing clean-up efforts in affected areas. The two also engaged in a cordial discussion on Myanmar’s peace process, including the potential role of the Gurudev in supporting national reconciliation efforts.
