President Javier Milei of Argentina has announced a significant economic shift, stating that the country will experience unprecedented growth following a new $20 billion agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This agreement is Argentina's 23rd with the IMF, reinforcing its status as the institution's largest debtor.

As part of the agreement, Argentina has lifted most capital and currency controls, a move aimed at stabilizing the economy and attracting investment. The IMF has praised Milei's fiscal discipline and reforms, including achieving Argentina’s first fiscal surplus in nearly 20 years.
