Iran Foreign Minister says seeks 'fair' deal with US in nuclear talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said his country seeks a "fair and honorable" deal with the United States, hours before the start of talks between the two sides.

The Foreign Minister stated that "Iran intention is to reach a fair and honorable agreement from an equal position, and if the other side also comes from the same position, then hopefully there will be a chance for an initial understanding that will lead to a path of negotiations". He also expressed that if the U.S. demonstrates genuine goodwill and refrains from threats, a constructive path forward is possible.​
