India-Slovakia sign 1st defence MoU

The first-ever Memorandum of Understanding in defence manufacturing between the two countries at the India-Slovakia business meet in Bratislava on Friday. Indian firms JCB Ltd. and Texmaco Defence Systems signed the MoU with Slovak company, Rolus S.R.O to develop competitive light tank technologies. 

Tribhuvan Darbari, MD & CEO of Texmaco Defence Systems Pvt. Ltd., stated that this bilateral partnership marks a significant milestone in global defense cooperation.

By leveraging Slovakia’s proven defense technology expertise and India’s cost-effective, high-quality industrial base, both nations can create a formidable, next-generation light tank that meets the operational demands of modern warfare.

He added that this collaboration not only enhances defense capabilities but also sets the stage for a stronger and more dynamic India-Slovakia partnership in the years to come.
