Meeting with Rectors and Principals: Plans for reopening of medical universities

Union Minister for Health Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win met the Rectors and the Principals of Mandalay’s medical universities and the Nursing and Midwifery Training Schools via video conference on Friday. They discussed the issues related to uninterrupted teaching and learning in Mandalay’s earthquake-affected universities.

The Union Minister also instructed systematic inspections and approval of university buildings before use, timely construction of shelters for staff and students in temporary camps and smooth reopening of institutions. He also called for support in learning, accommodation and security for interns and nurses in hospitals. The Union Minister heard the reports by rectors and principals and coordinated the needs.
