Assignment of Responsibilities: Mon State CM assigned responsibilities for dev. plans

A ceremony for the assignment of responsibilities regarding the 2025–2026 fiscal year regional development plans of Mon State, along with an awards presentation recognizing outstanding tax revenue performance for the 2024–2025 fiscal year, was held at the Aung San Hall of the Mon State Government Office in Mawlamyine on April 10.

At the event, Mon State Planning Commission Chairman and Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein stated that the regional development plans for the 2025–2026 fiscal year were carefully designed by prioritizing the real needs of the people. These plans are expected to contribute to a projected GDP growth rate of 2.6%.

He emphasized the importance of systematically formulating monthly and sector-wise plans to fulfill and exceed the assigned objectives and urged all involved to exert strong efforts to ensure success. Following this, the Chairman and Secretary of the Mon State Planning and Implementation Committee presented a detailed explanation of the objectives and targets of the 2025–2026 fiscal year’s regional development plans.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister assigned responsibilities based on sectors including agriculture, industry, and Services by district. The respective departmental heads and district administrators officially received these assignments.

Additionally, the Chief Minister awarded certificates of honor to the township tax department heads who had exceeded their tax collection targets for the 2024–2025 fiscal year. He also delivered a speech commending their achievements.
