Inspection Tour: MONREC UM assessed damages and provided assistances

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, U Khin Maung Yi, on April 9, conducted inspections of various departmental offices, staff housing, and workplaces affected by the earthquake within the Mandalay Region.

The Minister met with staff families to provide support through financial assistance and materials. In the morning on April 9, the Union Minister, inspected the district and township office buildings, and staff residences of Forest Department in Yamethin Township, the offices and residences of the Dry Zone Greening Department and Department of Environmental Development in Pyawbwe Township, Mandalay Region, met with staff, and coordinated efforts to address any necessary requirements.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister inspected the Myoma nursery garden and the district and township office buildings, and staff residences of Dry Zone Greening Department in Kyaukse Township, met with staff to discuss and coordinate requirements. Then, the Union Minister inspected the office buildings of Myanma Timber Enterprise, in Amarapura Township, as well as the buildings of the Department of Environmental Conservation and the Dry Zone Greening Department and coordinated on necessary actions to address any damages.

In the late afternoon, the Union Minister inspected the buildings and staff accommodations of the Department of Geological Survey and Mineral Exploration, the No. (1) and (2) Mining Enterprises, and the Myanma Gems Enterprise, evaluating the condition of damages and engaging with staff at the Myanma Gems Enterprise to offer support and resources.

After that, the Union Minister inspected the staff housing, teaching facilities, and dormitory of Central Forestry Development Training Center in Pathein Gyi Township, and Myoma Nursery Garden assessing the state of damages and coordinating necessary repairs and gave necessary instructions.

In the evening, the Union Minister visited the office of the Director-General office of the Dry Zone Greening Department, inspected the condition of office buildings, warehouses, and staff housing for damages, met with the staff members and families, offered words of encouragement and provided them with cash and kind assistances.
