Relief Supplies: More humanitarian aids from UAE arrives Yangon

Following the devastating Mandalay earthquake that struck on March 28, the international communities have been sending rescue teams and relief supplies for the affected people in quake-hit areas.

The rescue team from the UAE have completed their tour of duty at the quake-hit areas, and left for home on April 9th. They were seen off at the airport by Chief Minister U Soe Thein who expressed words of thanks and presented commemorative gifts.

Meanwhile, an aircraft, carrying the humanitarian assistance from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) landed at Yangon International Airport. These supplies include over 32,000 Kg of relief items including tents, tarpaulin sheets and foodstuff. These relief items will be transported to the quake-hit areas under the supervision of the Yangon Region Government.
