




Due to devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar on 28th March, the government is accelerating the damage and loss assessment and intensifying the rescue and relief efforts at earthquake hit areas.
Likewise, the international communities are constantly providing humanitarian assistance including medical and rescue teams as well as the relief aids for the earthquake victims. In the morning on 9th April, four Y-20 relief flights carrying 104 tons of medicines and relief aids from China arrived at Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport.
The relief aids were received by the concerned officials. In the afternoon, a relief flight carrying 92,727 kg of relief supplies including tent, tarpaulins, mosquito nets and bedsheet landed at Yangon International Airport. Those relief supplies are transported to Nay Pyi Taw under the supervision of Yangon Region Government, it’s reported.
