Damage Assessment: Quake impact at Nay Pyi Taw GTI

On 9th April, Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw accompanied by concerned officials visited Government Technical Institute (Nay Pyi Taw) which was damaged by severe earthquake.

The quake has damaged the main building and workshops of the institute as well as the staff housings and domitories. During the inspection, the Union Minister stressed on further systematic renovation measures based on respective damage levels, timely completion of the current renovation process emphasizing on safety and resilience of the buildings.
