Providing Assistance: MCRC UM provided assistance to the staff members

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe, along with relevant officials, on April 9, provided assistance to the staff members affected by the earthquake that struck Mandalay and Sagaing regions on March 28.

Initially, the Union Minister and officials visited the University of Cooperatives and Management in Sagaing, where they inspected the damage to buildings caused by the earthquake. They also met with the affected staff and provided hygiene kits donated by the Department of Rural Development and UNICEF, as well as rice, cooking oil, salt and personal donated by CB Bank Chairman U Khin Maung Aye.

Following this, the distribution of clean drinking water for earthquake-affected residents along the riverside road in Sagaing using a mobile water purification vehicle by the Rural Development Department. The Union Minister and party continued their visit to the Sandar Weaving and Vocational Training School in Amarapura Township, the office of the Region's Cooperatives Department, and the Cooperatives College (Mandalay) in Pathein Gyi Township.

They inspected the buildings that were damaged by the earthquake and met with the staff to provide hygiene kits, rice, cooking oil, and food supplies. Additionally, the Union Minister and officials reviewed the construction of a 150-ton rice mill and the damages at the Mandalay Dairy Factory, where the Minister addressed their needs.

After that, the Union Minister and officials arrived at the Rural Development Department office in Kyaukse District, where they met with the staffs affected by the earthquake from departments under the ministry and provided financial assistance, hygiene kits, rice, cooking oil, and food supplies.
