In the wake of a tragic shooting near a school in Poitiers, western France, local authorities are intensifying efforts to combat gang-related violence.

The incident, which resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy and injuries to four others, has prompted calls for stronger measures to address the growing influence of gangs in the region. The authorities said Drug dealers are engaged in a ‘gang war’ in the town.

The mayor of Vaulx-en-Velin also declared "They will not let these dealers resettle on this spot," on the outskirts of Lyon.
