Around 8,000 indigenous people gathered in Brasília for the 21st Free Land Camp, a week of demonstrations ahead of COP30. Delegations from Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Australia, and Fiji participated.

The event highlighted issues such as the criminalization and persecution of indigenous leaders, land rights, and the lack of funding for conservation projects. Organizers called for greater attention to public policies that affect indigenous communities and the need for resources to reach their territories.

Participants emphasized the survival of life and the defense of the planet.
