France and Egypt sign agreements during Macron visit to Cairo

French President Emmanuel Macron and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi presided over the signing of several agreements between their two countries at the Presidential Palace in Cairo. 

During the visit, Macron expressed his opposition to any actions that would lead to displacement or annexation in Gaza and the Israeli-occupied West Bank, describing such moves as a violation of international law and a potential threat to regional stability. 

He also stated that Hamas should not play a role in the governance of Gaza. Macron reiterated France's support for the reconstruction plan for Gaza, which has been endorsed by the Arab League, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in addressing the situation.
