India’s President Droupadi Murmu arrives in Lisbon

Indian President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Lisbon in the early morning of Monday, beginning a state visit to Portugal as both countries celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations. This is the first visit by an Indian President to Portugal in over two decades.

During her visit, President Murmu will meet with her Portuguese counterpart, President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and hold delegation-level talks. She will also meet Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro.Later, President Murmu will address the Indian diaspora in Lisbon.
