International Paper Festival began in Yalova province of Turkiye

The International Paper Festival began in Yalova, Türkiye, bringing together the history, art, and production of paper under one roof. 

Supported by national and international artists, the event runs from 5 to 7 April 2025. Organized by the Yalova Governor’s Office, the festival features exhibitions, workshops, panels, and lectures. Experts and papermakers will present on topics ranging from historical techniques to modern artistic practices. 

Yalova, home to Türkiye’s first paper factory founded by İbrahim Müteferrika in 1745, marks the occasion as both a cultural celebration and a tribute to its historical role in publishing.
