'Tens of thousands of jobs at risk,' says French Prime Minister

French industry leaders have expressed deep concern over recent U.S. tariffs, suggesting that these measures could jeopardize tens of thousands of jobs in France. President Emmanuel Macron has called for a suspension of French investments in the United States until the implications of the new tariffs are fully clarified.

This stance is supported by French industry leaders, who view it as a necessary measure to protect French economic interests. French Prime Minister also said “the primary concern is for French producers, particularly those companies that produce and export to the United States”. He adds that "tens of thousands of jobs are at risk" in the agricultural, wine, and spirits sectors.
