Combating Online Fraud: 77 illegal immigrants deported via Thailand

The government is making strenous efforts to combat telecom fraud and investigating to those who incolve in committing unlawful acts by collaboration with international organizations.

Those who involved in these unlawful acts are being detained and deported to their respective countries systematically. On April 4th, 77 Kenya nationals were deported via Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Bridge No.2 in  accordance with the existing laws and procedures.

From 30th January to April 4th, a total of 8,724 foreign nationals were detained and among them 7,142 foreign nationals were deported to their respective countries via Thailand, and remaining 1,582 foreign nationals are being detained and ready to be deported.

The country is striving to investigate to those who involved in online scam center businesses and taking legal actions against those while cooperating in deportation processes of foreign nationals to their respective countries.
