







To provide health care assistance to earthquake victims, 50-bed temporary hospital is opened at Paunglaung Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw.
Health staff from Myanmar Army Medical Corps in collaboration with the health care workers and engineers from the Kingdom of Bhutan are providing health care assistance to the victims affected by the severe earthquake that struck on March 28.
Lieutenant Colonel, Htet Naing Aung, Supervisor, said " We made preparations to open mobile hospital starting March 31st, and on April 2nd the hospital can provide treatment to the injured people. At present, health care assistance is being provided to 31 in-patients and some outpatients who were injured partially."
Currently, 18 medical specialists including surgeons and radiologists from the Myanmar Army Medical Corps, along with the health care workers from the Ministry of Health are providing health care assistance to the affected people in collaboration with the 40 volunteers from Butan.
It is reported that Butan will dispatch a team comprised of 20 volunteers soon to provide health care assistance and to participate in restoration process of pagodas, temples and religious edifices.
