Relief Supplies: SAC Chairman receives Special Envoy of Japan

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Special Envoy of the Government of Japan, Chairman of Nippon Foundation Mr. Yohei Sasakawa at the Tatmadaw guesthouse in Nay Pyi Taw on 2nd April.

During the meeting, both sides cordially discussed on damage and losses caused by severe earthquake, requisite rescue items provided by international organizations as well as strenuous and concerted efforts of the international rescue and relief teams, local rescue teams and philanthropic organizations during rescue measures despite challenging situations.

The Senior General also expressed words of gratitude for the generous provisions of the Government of Japan. During the meeting, Special Envoy of the Government of Japan, Chairman of Nippon Foundation Mr. Yohei Sasakawa donated $3 million worth of foodstuff and rescue items for the earthquake victims in Myanmar.
