Quake Impact in Taungoo: Chief Minister inspects the infrastructure damages

Due to the powerful earthquake, religious buildings and various infrastructures were damaged in Taungoo of Bago Region. Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win on March 29th visited the affected areas to oversee the relief measures.

Yangon-Mandalay Express Road has seen damages at mile post 165 as well as the Swa Creek Crossing Bridge on the road. Likewise, Nan Daw Oo Lawka Marazein Pagoda in Zayat Kyi Kone Village-Tract, a Chinese Temple in Zay Paing Ward and Kan Taw Mosque in No.11 Ward were also damaged by the earthquake. In addition, an approach road to Phyu Creek Bridge at Mile Post No.115 was also affected.
