






Rescue and relief measures are conducting at the quake-hit areas with the collaborative efforts of local organizations and international rescue teams.
In Mingalar Yankin Housing in Mandalay, the affected communities are taking shelter at the temporary tents. Although the building was not collapsed totally, major damage were caused due to the severe earthquake.
Wint Wah Moe, said " Despite the buildings have not collapsed, there are several cracks and thus we cannot stay inside. So, we take shelter at the temporary tents. "
Donors make contribution to the affected persons, providing foods and other necessities. The affected communities request for donation of drinking water and medicines.
Aung Zaw Tun, said " Since we can able to run out of the building in the time of earthquake, there was no casualties. What we need most is medicines for the elder persons and drinking water. We request all donors to contribute for our requirements. "
Ei Thandar Aung, said " We are a family of four. We run out of our apartment when the quake hit. We really appreciate the donors for their contribution."
Mandalay is the hardest-hit area during the earthquake which struck at the magnitude of 7.7 with its epicenter near the town.
