China's Xi meets Bangladesh leader Yunus in Beijing

Bangladesh's interim leader, Muhammad Yunus, concluded a significant visit to Beijing, where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. 

This visit marked Yunus's first official trip to China since assuming office in August. During their meeting, President Xi expressed China's readiness to deepen cooperation with Bangladesh across various sectors. He highlighted China's willingness to encourage investment and facilitate the relocation of Chinese manufacturing enterprises to Bangladesh. 

Additionally, Xi mentioned that China would consider requests to reduce interest rates on existing loans, addressing one of Bangladesh's key concerns.
