Friendly Relations: Meeting with the Russian Deputy Defence Minister

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Deputy Minister for Defence of Russian Federation Col. Gen. Aleksandr Vasilyevich Fomin in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

During the meeting, they discussed matters on friendly cooperation between the two nations, reciprocal cooperation between the two armies, promoting cooperation in military technology and space technology and human resource development through scholar programs.

The meeting also focused on Myanmar’s practice of Independent and Active Non-Aligned Foreign Policy, abiding by the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence. They also exchanged view on promoting cooperation in defence, economic, culture and religious fields as well as the collaboration in providing humanitarian assistance.
