


Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing made a speech concerning the powerful earthquake that struck across Myanmar on Friday.
The Prime Minister stressed the extensive damages of infrastructures and losses of lives and properties due to the 7.7 magnitude earthquake, with major damages in Mandalay, Sagaing and Nay Pyi Taw. As of Friday night, 144 people reported death with more than 700 injured, and the number is likely to increase.
He added that rescue and relief measures are underway, and called for cooperation of all concerned personnel in these efforts. All the affected areas have been declared the state of emergency and international assistance has been requested for rehabilitation efforts. AHA Center and India have already offered relief supplies, and permissions have been granted.
The Prime Minister requested assistance from any organizations and individuals for relief efforts.
