Orders of Pardon: 7 foreign nationals granted amnesty

Upholding humanitarian principles and friendly relations between the nations, the State Administration Council granted amnesty to 7 foreign nationals who were serving their sentences at different prisons on 27th March. 

4 Thai nationals who were serving their sentences at Kawthaung Prison and 3 Filipinos from Hpa-an Prison were granted amnesty and extradited in accordance with section 401, sub-section (1) of the code of criminal procedure with the condition that they will be served in prison with the remaining sentence in addition to new penalty if they are convicted again.
