Development Works: Efforts for development in Loilem

Construction of earthen embankment is underway in Loilem of Shan State (South) for prevention of inundation. Due to the natural disaster, the areas between Mile Post Nos. 171/1 to 171/3 have been inundated.

The Township Road Construction Department is undertaking the construction works in cooperation with a private construction company. On March 25th, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung instruction the construction site and instructed for speedy completion of the tasks, providing smooth access of transportation to the public.

The Chief Minister and party later visited the Myitta Aye Yeik Parahita Nayaka Monastery in Panglong and planted various perennial trees. They also viewed the chosen sites for construction of View Point and We Love Panglong Building near Yadana Lake, and planting of shady trees in the compound of Panglong Agreement Landmark Post.

At the Loilem District General Administration Department, the Chief Minister met with the departmental personnel and discussed for security matters, combating illegal trade and drug trafficking and development of agriculture and livestock sector. The Chief Minister and party later inspected the chosen sites for new housing area in Eain Khit and Khaung Nwe Villages as well as the winter crop plantations in Mongpun.
