Ten years after the Germanwings plane crash in the French Alps, around 400 people gathered for a ceremony at the Vernet cemetery in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, southeastern France, to honor the 149 victims.

The crash occurred when Andreas Lubitz, the 27-year-old co-pilot, deliberately crashed the Airbus A320 into a mountain while the captain was temporarily away from the cockpit. Lubitz, who was on antidepressants, took his own life and caused the deaths of the 149 passengers and crew members aboard the flight.
