Beijing announces French FM visit to China, reacts to Japan's accusation

China expressed hope that an upcoming visit by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot will deepen cooperation between the two nations in a world undergoing significant changes.

Barrot is scheduled to visit Beijing and Shanghai on Thursday and Friday, marking his first trip to China since taking office. During a regular briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun also addressed recent tensions between China and Japan, following accusations from Tokyo that Beijing had misrepresented its stance after high-level discussions involving South Korea.
