Tour in Yangon: MOSYA Union Minister inspects sports facilities

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung visited Hlaing Sports Ground on Saturday to oversee the sports facilities and conducting of the summer courses for various sports including Taekwando, Karate, table tennis and futsal.

The Union Minister and party also visited the sports ground in North Okkapala Township, Bowling Center in Tamwe Township, Sports Stadium in Dawpon Township and Football Ground and Stadium in Thaketa Township.

During the visit, the Union Minister oversaw the facilities and gave instructions to provide convenient access of facilities to the public.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with the Chairmen and Secretaries of Myanmar Lethwei Federation, Myanmar Muay Federation and Myanmar Lethwei Commission. The meeting focused on the preparation measures for participating in the 33rd SEA Games, future plans as well as arrangements for providing supporting aids, nutrition, medicines and coaching matters.

The Union Minister and party later inspected the Kyaikkasan Ground and Myathida Sports Ground in South Okkalapa Township. In the evening, the Union Minister enjoyed the football match of Myanmar U-22 Team against Hong Kong (China) U-22 Team at the Youth Sports Training Center (Thuwunna) which ended in 2:2 draw.
