Pan Khin Project Phase-3: Work undertakings in Taunggyi inspected

Implementation of Pan Khin Project Phase 3 is underway in Taunggyi of Shan State (South).

On Saturday, Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing oversaw the work undertakings, being conducted at the Min Kyaung Monastery. As part of the project, the National Registration Cards were issued to the residents, along with the issuance of 10-digit Unique ID under e-ID system. Under the Pan Khin Project Phase (3), over 170,000 National Registration Cards are planned to be issued in Shan State, and it will be undertaken till 31st October this year. 

In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with officials from the State Government and members of the State, District and Township Supervisory Committees for Ground Census Enumeration. In his speech, the Union Minister called for cooperation of all concerned personnel for successful implementation of the tasks. Attendees discussed work undertakings including the scrutinizing process of population data, implementation of Pan Khin Project Phase-3, data collection of displaced persons as well as the issuance of identity cards for ensuring voters list accuracy.

On separate occasion, the Union Minister met with the staff who were displaced from Shan State (North) and instructed to serve the duties at the temporary offices, providing convenient services to the residents from the concerned areas.
