Standard Well Drilling: Meeting with ethnic entrepreneurs for oil exploration

Union Minister for Enerty U Ko Ko Lwin on Saturday met with the ethnic entrepreneurs who proposed for drilling the Standard Well.

In his speech, the Union Minister stressed that it takes about 40 million years to emerge oil and natural gas, adding that these invaluable energy resources must be under systematic management, contributing to the public interest.

He said the Ministry of Energy is striving to distribute CNG, LPG, fuel and fertilizers with reasonable price. In order to generate more quality products with increased quantities, the ethnic entrepreneurs are invited to explore more crude oil by drilling standard wells.

During the meeting, the law and regulations for standard well drilling were explained to the entrepreneurs, along with the technical matters.

Aiming to prevent from losses of natural resources and deterioration of natural environment, to provide the need of energy in the nation as much as possible and to encourage the ethnic entrepreneurs, the Ministry has planned to implement drilling of standard wells in cooperation with the ethnic entrepreneurs.
