The number of displaced Palestinians continues to rise

UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process said, “The number of displaced Palestinians continues to rise, and residents continue to be denied the right to return home.” Addressing the Security Council on 21st March she reported that in Gaza, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health (MOH), at least 3,860 Palestinians were killed, and at least 5,979 were injured during the reporting period.

She continued, “According to Israeli sources, she added, 59 hostages are still being held captive of the 251 hostages abducted on 7 October by Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups. Israeli sources also report 30 Israel Defense Forces soldiers killed and at least 3 injured during the reporting period.
