Indonesian Government supports local animated movies

Minister of Creative Economy said Jumbo received support from all ministries, which shows that the government has an interest in the development of film in Indonesia. The movie will be in cinemas during the Eid holidays. At a pre-screening event in Jakarta, the minister mentioned that Jumbo is expected to become one of the local products that can strengthen the creative economy sector as a driver of national economic growth.

Minister believed that creative industries, including animation, will be the main drivers of economic growth in the future. He also noted that many young Indonesians are now creating interesting local characters, and Jumbo can become a global product if it wins support from various parties.

He expects Jumbo to become a successful movie both in Indonesia and overseas. He also hopes that more local animated works can inspire and enrich the global creative industry. He looks forward to Jumbo and other animated movies motivating Indonesian animation creators to continue to develop and innovate in the creative industry.
