Deportation Process: Crackdown on online fraud cases

A total of 379 Chinese Nationals who have illegally entered Myanmar through border routes via transit points and committed online gambling and online fraud cases were deported to their country via Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Bridge No. 2 on Thursday.

Additionally, 253 illegal immigrants have been detained and efforts are underway to collect their personal information and records to expedite deportation to their respective countries. From 30th January, to 20th March, 2025, a total of 7,616 foreign nationals who illegally entered Myanmar were identified and detained. Of these, 4,950 have been systematically transferred to their respective countries via Thailand in accordance with legal procedures.
