Rural Development: MCRD Union Minister tours in Mon State

On March 19th, Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe along with the Mon State Transportation Minister and township level departmental officials, made field inspection on cooperatives and rural development working processes within the state.

First, the Unin Minister and party inspected the Weaving and Vocational Training School (Mudon) under the Small Scale Industries Department, met with the officals, instructing to fulfill the needs of the trainees.

The Union Minister said collaborative efforts are needed among related departments to complete the work undertakings in accordance with the laws, by laws, procedures and guidance.

Then, the Union Minister inspected the construction site of 3-story staff housing with Fund allowance of the state government. At the Shwe Myaing Agriculture and General Business Cooperative Association Ltd., the Union Minister oversaw the operation processes of 90 tonnes Advance Rice Mill and 120 tonnes Rice Dryer, heard reports by the officials and gave necessary instructions.

Then, the Union Minister and party inspected the construction processes of new 3-story building at Cooperative Accounting Vocational Training Center (Mawlamyine) and stressed the needs for timely completion meeting set standard.

The Union Minister and party later proceeded to the Department of Rural Development Office to meet with the state/district/township level departmental officials.

During the meeting, the Union Minister called for cooperative efforts among the officials to coordinate the necessary technologies for farmers for development of agriculture and livestock breeding sector and to strive for convenience of the staff. After hearing the reports by the officials, the Union Minister coordinated the requirement.
