








In honor of the 80th Armed Forces Day, the ceremony of putting into service of the Bago River Crossing Reinforced Concrete Bridge, connecting Zineganaing North Ward and Bago Myoma Market, was held on the morning of March 19. The event was attended and officially inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Bago Region, U Myo Swe Win.
Initially, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win addressed explaining the objectives behind constructing the Bago River Crossing Concrete Bridge. He emphasized that the state has invested in upgrading and building this new bridge to ensure improved transportation and connectivity in line with modern systems. He urged the public to collectively maintain and preserve the bridge for its long-term durability and stability.
Following this, U Win, a resident and representative of Pegu Town, expressed gratitude for the construction of the new bridge. Subsequently, the Minister for Security and Border Affairs, the Minister for Economic Affairs, the Minister for Transportation, and U Win, officially opening the bridge by cutting the ribbon.
After that, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, pressed a button to unveil the commemorative plaque of the Bago River Crossing Reinforced Concrete Bridge, followed by the sprinkling of scented water. The Chief Minister and officials then inspected the bridge by walking across it. They also presented cash awards to the Bugle Corps and Pom Pom dance group, and music and dance troupes that performed at the bridge’s opening ceremony.
Later, Chief Minister accompanied by members of the Region Government, visited examination centers at No. 1 Basic Education High School examination center, 783 students were calmly taking their matriculation exams (third day, mathematics subject). Similarly, at the No. 3 Basic Education High School examination center, 513 students were also peacefully taking their exams (third day). The Chief Minister toured the centers to encourage the students, provided guidance to the responsible officials regarding necessary arrangements, and awarded cash assistance to the supervising teachers.
